Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has announced that the state government will allocate Rs 100 crore for the development of the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit. The action plan for the circuit will be created with input from public representatives, social organizations, and local residents. The goal is to expand tourist facilities while preserving heritage sites in their original form.
Heritage Sites Should Remain Unchanged
Deputy CM Kumari emphasized that the heritage should remain unchanged. She also suggested that the circuit be promoted through publicity and social media. She proposed establishing a Tourist Information Center at the airport to help visitors learn about local sites and transportation options. She talked about a possible world-class museum being built near the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.
Onkar Singh Lakhawat, Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Authority, highlighted that this is the first budget since independence to include the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit. Cabinet Minister as Tribal Regional Development & Home Defense Department in Government of Rajasthan, Babulal Kharadi, recommended including the unknown exile site of Maharana Pratap and Rana Punja’s contributions. MP Mannalal Rawat suggested incorporating religious sentiments related to Maharana Pratap and the kings of Mewar.
