Rs.8000 Crores Assigned for Udaipur Development
The District Planning Committee on Thursday released a budget amount of whopping Rs. 8,352.11 Crore to be spent on Udaipur City Projects between the years 2012-2017.
The District Planning Committee on Thursday released a budget amount of whopping Rs. 8,352.11 Crore to be spent on Udaipur City Projects between the years 2012-2017.
The Planning Committee meeting held at the District Council Hall under the leadership of Madhu Mehta, District Chief accepted the above-mentioned amount for District Development. Rural Development was allotted with the highest amount of Rs. 2074.01 Crore.
Hemant Gera, Collector, Udaipur also asked the Planning Commission to form a budget for the development of rural tourism and activities. He added that, the places deprived of Anganwadi Bhawans should also be allotted with a budget for their construction project.
Sudhir Dave, Chief Planning Officer elaborated on the budget allotted to different projects and committees for the next 5 years which included Rs. 1279.60 Lac for Agriculture in the State, Rs. 2767.59 Lac for Gardening. Rs. 31812 Lac were allotted to the Ajmer Electricity Board Limited. Rs. 30744.61 Lac and Rs. 30398.96 Lac were allotted for Primary and Secondary Education respectively.
The committee further discussed various issues and projects to be implemented in the 2012-13 year and allotted Rs. 1360.94 Crore for District development, which included Rs. 22670.56 Lac for Primary Education Fund and Rs. 8479.78 Lac towards Healthcare.
