Udaipur, January 1, 2025 - The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced a new dress code for recruitment exams, introducing separate guidelines for summer and winter. The changes aim to address the inconvenience caused to candidates by the earlier year-round dress code.

The New Dress Code Will Have Two Periods

• Summer Dress Code: March 1 to October 31

• Winter Dress Code: November 1 to February 28/29

Winter Dress Code Guidelines

• Candidates can wear coats, jackets, full-sleeve shirts, pocketless woolen jerseys, and sweaters.
• These must not have metal buttons, chains, or large decorative buttons.
• Shirts must not display badges or any decorative items.
• Women are allowed to use simple rubber bands or plain hairpins for their hair.

Restrictions for Winter

• Ties, mufflers, jerkins, or shawls.

• Clothing that could conceal objectionable items.

Summer Dress Code Guidelines

• Men can wear half-sleeve or full-sleeve shirts and T-shirts.
• Women can wear salwar suits with dupattas, sarees, or kurtas/blouses with half or full sleeves.
• Clothing with large buttons, metal buttons, decorative pins, badges, or floral designs is strictly prohibited.

Footwear Rules

Candidates can wear slippers, sandals, shoes, and socks, provided they are ankle-length or shorter. Shoes with metal chains are not allowed.

Decision of Examination Officer

In case of disputes or doubts about the dress code, the decision of the examination officer at the exam center will be final.
