RTDC Guest Houses - 25% Discount Proposed for Armed Forces Personnel

Rajasthan Governor gives in-principle approval during Sainik Board meet

Serving and retired personnel of the Armed Forces will receive a 25% discount on staying at the guest houses of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC). Governor Haribhau Bagade gave an in-principle approval for this during the 17th meeting of the State Sainik Board. A proposal regarding this will be sent to the state government.

The Governor stressed on the need to use the fund allocated for soldiers' welfare. He also directed timely action on the central and state government schemes and decisions related to ex-servicemen, war widows, and dependents with sensitivity. He stated that soldiers serve in extreme conditions—under scorching sun, in high temperatures, and cold weather—to protect the nation, allowing us to sleep peacefully at home.

The Governor mentioned that the issues presented regarding ex-servicemen and their families in the meeting should be appropriately addressed through proposals and effective measures be taken by the finance, personnel, and other state departments.

Those present at the meeting included Minister of Soldier Welfare Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Minister of State Vijay Singh Chaudhary, Chairman of the Sainik Welfare Board Prem Singh Bajor, Chief Secretary  of Rajasthan Sudhansh Pant and Principal OSD to Governor Rajkumar Sagar.
