Saheliyon Ki Bari temporarily closed for Republic Day preparations; the Public Works Department is supervising the work
Udaipur, January 23, 2025 - Saheliyon Ki Bari, a popular tourist spot in Udaipur, will host the prestigious “At Home” program on January 25, 2025, as part of state-level Republic Day celebrations. To prepare for the event, the park has been temporarily closed to tourists and the general public.
The site is undergoing extensive repairs, restoration, and decoration. The Public Works Department is supervising the work, which includes resurfacing the approach road, polishing the welcome fountain’s stone flooring, and repainting the entrance gate.
Key beautification efforts involve cleaning the pond of the rainless fountain, replacing CI pipelines, and refurbishing the platform flooring. The domes and glass structures are also being cleaned and replaced, while railings are being installed in various areas.
Additional work includes polishing the stone flooring around Kamal Talai, repainting the fountains, and replacing broken stones. Restrooms within the Bari are also being cleaned and repaired to ensure readiness for the grand event.
