Shri Sanwaliya Seth Temple, situated in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh region, witnessed a historic moment as it counted a donation of Rs 18 crore during its Bhandara ceremony on Holi. The counting process, conducted in four stages, revealed an initial sum of approximately Rs 4 crore, escalating to Rs 14,19,36,110 in total contributions from the temple's donation box.
Temple Board President Bhairu Lal Gurjar disclosed that an additional online donation of Rs 4 crore 36,50,831 was made to the temple, reflecting immense support from devotees.
Among the treasures found during the counting were 303 grams of gold and 82 kilograms of silver discovered in the conference room office. Furthermore, 17 kilograms of silver and 560 grams of gold were extracted from the donation box.
Additionally, the donation box held foreign currencies from twelve different nations such as from the Thailand, Oman, Myanmar, Bangladesh, England, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kuwait and Indonesia with the highest denomination being 820 notes of one US dollar, reflecting the temple's international reach.
