Sarafa Business to Remain Shut indefinitely
The Sarafa Traders of Udaipur has decided to continue their protest by keeping their business at halt till central government doesn’t agree with their demands of reforming the tax amendments in budget 2012. The market will remain close for indefinite time after the protest was initiated by The All India Gems and Jewelry Association.

In order to express their demands a rally was carried out today which concluded by presenting a memorandum in the name of the Finance Minister. The memorandum says, “If some decisions will not roll up quickly then this movement would take a big leap.”
According to sources, all the jewelry traders held a meeting where they criticized the move of Central Government. The rally started from Bada Bazar and concluded taking the shape of a grand meeting at Ghantagar, covering Bhadbhuja Ghati, Mandi, Lakhara Chowk, Jhiniret, Sindhi Bazaar, Bada Bazaar. The rally was led by Ganesh Dagliya, Inder Singh Mehta, Kiranchandra Lasod and Mahaveer Singhatwadia.
After gathering at Ghantagar, the rally moved to the Collectorate and presented the memorandum.
Inder Singh Mehta, Director of Jewelers Association told, “There would be a meeting at Ghantagar on Monday morning around 11 AM. If the government would not take any measure by that time, then a rally on regional level will be carried out. That rally would consist of jewelry traders from regional curve who will meet the Collector.”
