The owners in charge of the 41 shops seized by Udaipur Municipal Corporation at the U-turn near Delhi Gate haven't received any relief from the High Court either. Despite the lack of a decision from the High Court during the proceedings, the shopkeepers were indeed granted permission to abstain from initiating legal action in the DLB (District Land Boards). Removing these shops by the municipality could alleviate traffic congestion in the city.

During the hearing, the shopkeepers asked the court to consider that important documents are stored in their shops, which could be at risk of damage. In response, the court directed the municipality to grant a one-time exemption to these shopkeepers to retrieve their belongings.

On Tuesday, February 27,2024, the court reviewed the cases of 18 out of the 41 shopkeepers. Subsequently, hearings for 8 shops took place on Thursday 29 February. Among them are six shopkeepers who claim that they were not provided any notice by the municipality regarding the confiscation of their shops. In response to this claim, the High Court has asked the municipality to provide records for verification. During the High Court proceedings, the municipality's lawyer, Anurag Shukla, stated that notices were served while the shops of six shopkeepers were closed, and notices were posted outside these shops in the absence of the original owners.

It is noteworthy that on February 7, 2024 the municipality issued notices instructing these operators to submit documents related to their shops within a 24-hour timeframe. After a period of 10 days, the shops were seized on February 17, 2024 at 6:00 A.M. Alternatively, certain representatives from the Muslim community identified it as property owned by the Waqf Board.
