Rajasthan's Senior Cardiac Surgeon Dies of Dengue 

He went into cardiac shock and could not survive the treatment

December 5,2024 - Dr. Rajeev Gehlot, a senior cardiac surgeon, passed away on December 3, 2024, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, after battling severe dengue. His platelet count dropped to 18,000, leading to his unfortunate death.

Dr. Gehlot had developed a fever two days earlier. His condition worsened, and he was admitted to a hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, his condition deteriorated rapidly.

A doctor treating Dr. Gehlot reported that he went into cardiac shock in the morning and could not survive the treatment.

Dr. Gehlot had a long and distinguished career in the medical field. He served as a cardiac surgeon at MDM Hospital and worked in a private hospital in Jaipur before joining Vasudhara Hospital in Jodhpur. He was currently working there at the time of his passing.
