Severe heat waves have been predicted for west Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. The temperatures are expected to cross 40 degrees and the same shall continue for around a week.

The severe weather conditions are because of lack of rainfall and hot winds blowing from Rajasthan.

There may be thunderstorms or dust storms around Friday resulting in some relief from the heat. The met department said that the prevailing atmospheric conditions do not hint towards the advancement of southwest monsoon into Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana, UP, Chandigarh and Punjab. 

Rajasthan is expected to witness partly cloudy days in the coming week. Very light rain is also expected in the next week in some parts of the state. Humidity is at its peak these days which is making the weather unbearable.
