Since its launch in fiscal year 2016, the Shiksha Sambal program has witnessed a remarkable growth, with the total number of students benefiting from the program increasing by 21 percent, from 67 to 88. The percentage of students achieving a first division distinction has also shown significant improvement, rising from 14 percent in 2016 to 31 percent currently. In the recently declared Class 10th results, an impressive 133 girls have been selected for the Gargi Puraskar. Likewise, the results for the Science Faculty of Class 12th, under the Shiksha Sambal program, have been outstanding, with a commendable 97.26 percent success rate. The Faculty of Science comprises 13 Senior Secondary Schools supported by the Shiksha Sambal Project, located across 5 districts and 6 locations within Hindustan Zinc's operational area, benefiting a total of 219 students. This year, the overall result has been a perfect 100 percent, with 13 schools achieving a 97 percent pass rate, 27 percent surpassing the 75 percent mark, and 48 percent attaining a first division distinction. The Shiksha Sambal program, implemented by Hindustan Zinc, goes beyond providing additional teachers in government schools. It encompasses a comprehensive approach to education by offering various resources and opportunities to enhance the learning experience of students. Teaching materials are provided to supplement classroom instruction, while vocational sessions focusing on agriculture, animal husbandry, and electrical business provide practical knowledge and hands-on learning experiences.

To promote conceptual understanding, the program facilitates access to laboratories and libraries, enabling students to improve their learning abilities. Additionally, during the summer vacations, one-month-long summer camps are organized, emphasizing both intensive academic training and holistic development of the students.

During the winter break, the program places special emphasis on exam-oriented preparation, offering students practice materials and exams to enhance their exam performance. Shiksha Sambal was initiated in 2017 as an educational innovation by Hindustan Zinc, in collaboration with technical partner Vidya Bhavan. Its primary objective is to support academically talented students studying in government schools who often lack adequate guidance and resources to pursue higher education.

Under the program, subject-specific facilities are provided to students in grades 6 to 12 from Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer, and Pantnagar (Uttarakhand). These facilities are made available through the provision of additional teachers in schools located in the six districts within the company's jurisdiction.
