The two-day Hariyali Amavasya fair concluded on July 5, 2024, but activity continued on Saheliyon Ki Bari Road till July 6. A few traders kept their temporary shops open, attracting city dwellers even after the fair's end. While most traders had already left, big traders stayed behind, hoping for a few more days to turn a profit.
Before the fair, swings set up in front of UDA were being dismantled. Mechanics were busy removing parts and loading them onto vehicles. However, some shopkeepers remained hopeful for additional business and suggested that the Municipal Corporation should allow more time, even if it means paying a fee.
Many traders only managed to cover their costs. Extra time would help with earnings from food and goods transportation. Rafiq, a trader from Delhi, reported minimal profits this year. Both city residents and those from nearby villages often visit fairs with the expectation of finding lower prices from departing traders. This contributed to a significant crowd on the third day.
Even after the fair officially ended, people continued to visit the fairground. They sought domestic items. For some traders, sales made after the fair are considered a bonus. By 2:00 pm, the Municipal Corporation instructed everyone to vacate the area. Despite the fair's end, traders remained on Saheliyon Ki Bari Road, attracting city residents seeking bargains.
