What if the names for areas and chorahas in Udaipur city are changed? In a meeting of Cultural Committee of Municipal Corporation held with Mayor Kothari, it was proposed that the names of various areas and chorahas should be changed. There was also a proposal of setting up a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at a park in Subcity Centre.

As per the proposal, it was decided that the road from Ayad bridge to Sukhadia University will be named as Vivekanand Marg. Dhoolkot choraha will be renamed as Sant Pipa ji Choraha, Pipli choraha at Tekri to be renamed as Devnarayan choraha and the Savina railway underpass be called after Bhagwan Vishvakarma. The name change of these areas was proposed in the presence of Revenue Officer Sandeep Dadhich, Revenue Inspector Vijay Jain, Mohit Agnihotri and Rahul Meena and President of Cultural Committee Jagdish Menaria.
