NSUI has finally announced the name of the contender for President of the MLSU Students Union in the upcoming Elections.

After Dinesh Bhoi was asked to step down as the candidate NSUI has now announced Shrikant Shrivastava as their candidate, in a press conference held at Hotel Royal Inn.

Shrivastav was declared ‘eligible’ for contesting the Elections by the Court, which makes the list complete for parties in contention – NSUI, CSS and ABVP.

In a press conference held today, Shrikant Shrivastava has announced a 20 point declaration as a part of the Election agenda of NSUI and pledged to complete all the tasks mentioned in the agenda.

City Bus Service in MLSU is also on the priority of NSUI while other main points include Dispensary in MLSU campus, R.O Plant in Colleges, development of the Placement Cell, Refurbishing of Libraries, Free education for minorities and SC/ST students, free sports training camp, etc.

The participation from NSUI has dented the aspirations of both CSS and ABVP who were feeling safe and confident about their success as there was no additional contender.  However, after the NSUI declaration, the arean is again wide open and this year’s election again promises to be an interesting one.
