Preparations for Arrival: Shubhanshu to Return to India This Week

Aug 16, 2025 - Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the second Indian to travel to space and the first Indian to visit the International Space Station (ISS), is expected to arrive in India by the end of this week.

This information was shared by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology Jitendra Singh.

During his stay in Delhi, Shukla is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after which he will travel to Lucknow to meet his family. He will return to Delhi on August 23 to participate in the National Space Day celebrations.
