Under its Swasthya Kiran CSR initiative, Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the leader in lighting, recently illuminated 5 primary health centers (PHC) in Udaipur, Rajasthan. More than 1 lakh people in the district will have better access to healthcare services thanks to the project, which is being carried out in collaboration with FINISH Society. It will provide a stable, clean, and dependable energy supply to these health centres.
In each health facility, a 2.5 KW solar energy power plant will be installed, along with energy-efficient lights and fans. The centres will be able to operate even in the absence of power due to solar power plant, which will be particularly important in this arid region given the extreme summer weather.
District Collector of Udaipur, Tara Chand Meena, recently inaugurated the building. For their efforts and use of their synergies to the advantage of the district's residents, he greatly commended Signify and FINISH Society.
