The Silk of India Exhibition, currently at the Town Hall in Udaipur, features nearly 100 artisans from over 12 states. They are presenting a wide range of handloom and handicraft items. The event, which started on August 10, will run until September 1, 2024.
The exhibition highlights more than 30 types of silk fabrics, including Banarasi silk, Assam’s Muga silk, Khadi Georgette silk, Kashmiri Pashmina silk, Kolkata silk, Maslin silk, Organza silk, Tissue silk, and more. Visitors can also find Gujarat's Kutch handicrafts, Kashmiri dry fruits, jewellery, Bikaner’s pickles and papads, carpets, wooden items from Uttar Pradesh, and decorative metal items.
Silk sarees priced between Rs 500 and Rs 20,000/- are particularly popular among visitors.
