Dec 12, 2025 - Silver prices hit their highest level for the third consecutive day on Thursday (December 12). According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), silver prices have risen by Rs 4,500 today, reaching Rs 1,92,781 per kilogram.

Before this, silver was at Rs 1,88,281/kg on Thursday and Rs 1,86,350/kg on Wednesday, both all-time highs. This means silver has become Rs 13,888 more expensive in just three days.

Meanwhile, gold prices have increased by Rs 1,973 and are now at Rs 1,30,569 per 10 grams. On October 17, gold had touched its all-time high of Rs 1,30,874 per 10 grams.

These rates by IBJA are used by the RBI to determine prices for Sovereign Gold Bonds, and several banks also use them to set gold loan rates. These are prices which do not include 3% GST, making charges or jewellers’ margins. Because of this, city-level rates vary from IBJA prices.
