Silver Spikes Nearly 240% in the Past 13 Months

Gold has risen by 17.46%, or Rs 23,800, during the current month; currently at Rs 1.6 lakh per 10 grams

Jan 24, 2026 - Silver prices hit a new all-time high in Jaipur on Friday, rising by Rs 11,000 to reach Rs 3.29 lakh per kilogram after crossing the $100-per-ounce mark in the global market for the first time ever. This was a spike of more than 4% in just one day. In just 37 days, silver has surged by Rs 1.29 lakh. Earlier, it took silver 454 days to move from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh per kilogram.

Over the past 13 months, silver prices have skyrocketed by nearly 240%. In Jaipur alone, silver has become costlier by Rs 92,500 — more than 39%— this month.

Meanwhile, gold prices also climbed by Rs 4,000 to touch a record Rs 1,60,000 per 10 grams. Gold has risen by 17.46%, or Rs 23,800, during the current month.

Continuous buying by investors has led to a global shortage of gold and silver, keeping prices on a strong upward trend. Alongside this, other precious metals like platinum, palladium and rhodium have also touched record highs.
