SIR 2026: Over 30 Lakh Forms Distributed in State in First Two Days

SIR progresses smoothly across 199 constituencies; voters urged to submit filled forms by December 4 for clean electoral roll

 |

Jaipur/Udaipur, November 6, 2025 - Under the State’s Special Intensive Revision Programme (SIR 2026), more than 30 lakh enumeration forms had been distributed door-to-door by BLOs across Rajasthan by the second day, on Wednesday November 5. Chittorgarh and Alwar districts have been leading for two consecutive days because of their effective strategy in distributing the forms.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Naveen Mahajan said that the printing and door-to-door distribution of new enumeration forms (EF) for all current voters in the State has begun in 199 Assembly constituencies. All activities related to SIR are progressing well according to the scheduled plan, he said.

Lineage Mapping

The CEO said that voter lists of all States have been uploaded online, and the link is also available on the CEO’s official website. He added that if any current voter’s parents, grandparents, etc., are included in the previous SIR voter list, accurate and verified family relationships are being used for lineage mapping.

Mahajan mentioned that mapping has already been completed for 84.98% of voters aged over 40 years. Additionally, 53.28% of voters aged 40 years or below have also been mapped using their family members’ details. Thus, a total of 68.17% of voters in the State have been mapped from the previous SIR voter list. These voters now only need to fill in information on the enumeration form and do not need to submit any documents.

The districts leading in mapping include Barmer, Nagaur, Balotra, Jalore and Dausa, while Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Sri Ganganagar and Ajmer need to carry out this work with more vigilance and efficiency, according to the CEO.

According to information, all voters whose detail matches with the previous SIR voter lists of any State will not need to submit any documents during the process. Therefore, mapping is a voter-friendly procedure.

Information Filling

During the enumeration phase, from November 4 to December 4, BLOs will visit each voter’s home with two copies of the enumeration form. Some sections of this form are pre-printed with the voter’s general information, including:

  • Name
  • EPIC number
  • Address
  • Voter list serial number
  • Part number
  • Assembly constituency

In addition, the voter needs to fill in further personal information such as:

  • Father’s or guardian’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Mobile number
  • Spouse information

If the voter was included in the previous SIR voter list, they must fill in the serial number, part number, Assembly constituency and district from that list. If they were not included, they must provide details of relatives (parents, grandparents, maternal or paternal) who were registered voters at that time. Thus, the mapping details are filled directly in the enumeration form and submitted to the BLO.

CEO Mahajan emphasised that every eligible voter should, by December 4, submit their latest colour photograph along with the filled enumeration form to their BLO, contributing to a clean and accurate voter list thus fulfilling their duty towards democracy.
