Train got delayed while problem was fixed near Debari station
Udaipur, October 29, 2024 - In an incident yesterday, October 28, the Mewar Express train traveling from Udaipur to Hazrat Nizamuddin Station experienced jammed brakes leading to smoke caused by the friction. The train was stalled for around 20 minutes before continuing on its destination.
According to reports, the Mewar Express departed Udaipur for Delhi at 6:30 pm and was approaching Debari station when smoke started coming out from under the A-2 AC coach. Passengers felt heat on the flooring of the train and noticed smoke from under the coach. Railway employees were informed. The train was halted, brakes released and problem was fixed.
According to railway officials, this incident occurred due to the brake blocks sticking.
