Rana Pratap Nagar station along with 3 other stations of Ajmer division will soon use green energy for their electricity needs as Indian Railways will be installing Solar power plants there.

Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Ajmer division of North Western Railway for installation of eco-friendly solar panels on Tuesday.

Solar power plant of 280 KWp would be installed at Ranapratap Nagar, Marwar, Rani and Falna to cater to electricity needs of the rail premise with each station getting 70KWp Solar PV plant.

Rs 3.29 Cr, the cost of green project, will be borne by IRFC under its CSR funds.

It may be noted that Udaipur station is already covered under the solar plant and was also developed using the CSR funds.
