All the Hotels located within the working area of the Udaipur Municipal Council, have to make arrangements to dispose of solid waste of Hotels to the trenching ground of the Council.

Today, 4^th June 2012, the UMC Chairperson instructed the related authorities to ensure disposal on the trenching ground. At present, this waste is being dumped at nearby areas or in waste containers of the Municipal Council.

According to the information all these hotels have their own sweeping staff and also have contracts with private concerns to maintain cleanliness in the campus. However, instead of proper disposal of waste it was observed that solid waste is dumped in nearby localities.

S.N. Acharya, Commissioner was instructed by Rajni Dangi, Chairperson, UMC to bound Hotels for the disposal of waste. She added that legal action against the hotel administration must be taken in case of negligence.

“We have passed orders to the concerned hotels and will be monitoring the disposal on monthly basis”, said S.N. Acharya, Commissioner, UMC.
