Soon You Will Get "UPGRADED" Quality Street Food in Udaipur
With 17 Indian cities Ministry of Food Processing Industry chose, Udaipur is also in the list to upgrade its quality of street food. Mr. Subodh Kant Sahai, Minister of Food Processing Industries has said that they are introducing Upgradation of Quality Street Food scheme in India’s selected cities.

The introductory effort had been carried out in the year 2008-09 with two different modules of the schemes where for 6 cities namely Udaipur, Tirupati, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Guwahati and Varanasi were selected for “Food Street” module and 11 other cities for “Safe Food Town” module are Ranchi, Jaipur, Kochi, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Agra, Agartala, Shillong, Guwahati, Panaji and Surat.
Mr. Sahai said that the result of these pilot projects would help the Ministry in execution of the scheme more effectively in the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17).
Like every Indian city, Udaipur also has a vast culture of street food, from a tea stall to an idli-dosa stall or a juice vendor to a pizza corner. The mixed variety and tradition of Udaipurites are attached with its street food.
