Udaipur Municipal Corporation unveiled the statue of Meera Bai today at Daitya Magri Tiraha. The statue portraying Meera Bai sitting in intense devotion was unveiled by the chief guest Shantakya, chief director of Rashtra Sevika Samiti.

Balyogi Umeshnath Maharaj from Valmiki Dham, Ujjan was also among the guests in today’s program.

Mayor of Udaipur Rajni Dangi welcomed all the guests and informed about the statue. She said, “The statue is 8ft in height and made from pedestal ruby and Jhansi granite. The cost of the statue is Rs.8 Lac.”

In their addresses, guests emphasized on adopting and respecting Indian culture and expressed their perception on present world scenario concerning youth and society.

MLA Phool Singh Meena and social worker Dinesh Bhatt were also present on the occasion.
