Drivers of 104 ambulances have suddenly gone on strike.They got agitated when the President of the union was suddenly removed from the post. The strike was called for suddenly around midnight on Tuesday. This strike is very likely to hinder with the transportation specifically for the expectant mothers and the injured.

The organisation head of the ambulance employees union said that the strike will be called off only when all the demands of the employees are fulfilled. The union had planned a strike by the 21^st of Feb but since the President of the union was suddenly removed from services by GVK EMRI Company, the employees got agitated. Though it has been assured by the divisional manager that the ambulance services will not be affected by the strike and that some solution will be certainly be derived after a good conversation with the employees.

It may be noted that the drivers have demanded that the contract system must be stopped and that all the drivers must be paid equally. They have also demanded that the driving time must not exceed 8 hours.
