-Temperature will drop further from 7th January.

-Cold waves to disrupt life again.

The met department has alerted the masses regarding the weather for Monday and Tuesday. As per the forecast, strong winds will be followed by ‘mavath’ and hail in some places. The depression in the west is taking the form of cyclone. This cyclone is likely to result in rain and hail storm in south-west Rajasthan and the effect can continue for 2 to 3 days.

Sunday was comparatively less cold though the day was mostly cloudy. There was some relief from cold waves and the sun played hide and seek but since the chill had gone down, masses were in for much relief. It is being expected that post 7th January, spine chilling cold will once again rule the season.

The disturbances in the weather cycle will bring about winter rain “mavath” which is required for a good crop. Farmers are eagerly waiting for the rains. It is also being expected that the maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 20 and 21 degrees whereas the minimum will be between 11 and 13 degrees.

14 districts are expected to have rain and hail. Many districts are witnessing dense fog, the visibility is almost nil and the fog clears as late as 11 a.m. The districts where rain and hail is expected are Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Bundi,  Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Jhalawar, Tonk, Dausa, Churu, Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar.
