Two people were seriously injured while three were arrested in a scuffle that broke out last night of Sunday, 13th May 2012 in Jashn Bar, located at Udiapol. The main accused is still at large, while those injured were admitted in hospital and are said to be out of danger.

According to sources, the fight broke out around 10:30pm between two groups over a petty issue. All involved were said to be in a drunken state when the incident occurred. The injured, Gopal Sharma and Tej Singh alleged that while they were having their drinks, one Naeem Khan and his friend Kaleem, who were sitting at the next table started misbehaving with them, which resulted in an argument.

The heated argument turned bad when Naeem called his friends Arun Gangwar and Samay Singh and started attacking Gopal and Tej Singh with empty beer bottles, injuring them gravely.

Later, the bar employees informed Surajpol Police who arrived on the scene and took the injured to hospital and arrested three of the attackers, namely Kaleem Khan, resident of Khanjipeer, Arun Gangwar and Samay Singh while the key accused Naeem Khan fled away.

Subhagya Singh, SHO informed UT, “we have detained Arun Gangwar, Samay Singh and Kaleem under section 307, the main accused Naeem is still absconding and the search is going on”.
