Swine Flu claims 3 more lives, 17 new positive cases

The plight of Swine flu is affecting the city further with change in climate. On Sunday, MB Hospital reported death of 3 patients and 17 positive cases.
Out of the positive case, 3 are from Udaipur, 7 from Rajsamand, 5 from Chittor, 1 from Mandsor and 1 from Pratapgarh. The patients who succumbed to the flu were Ganesh Vairagi (60) of Mavli, Pushkar Lal (40) of Hiran Magri sector 14 and Madhu Kunwar (24) of Mandsor, informed officials.
Presently, the status of 9 patients undergoing treatment at the hospital is serious. Out of them, 6 are in ICU and 3 are kept on ventilator. Looking at the changed weather, staff is preparing to increase the number of ventilators.
Doctors have said that the sudden dip in the temperature may aggravate the flu condition. The public is advised to refrain from going to crowded places, consuming cold food and isolate oneself in case of cold.
