Due to the Tauktae effect, heavy rains and hails storm are going to experienced in many parts of Rajasthan.
Udaipur will also witness storm with winds blowing at 40 to 50 kmph.
The met department has alerted that cylone Tauktae is going to intensify into a very severe cyclone and is about to hit Rajasthan as well.
Many parts of the country will experience heavy rains since a severe depression has formed over Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep. The severe cyclone will is very likely to intensify by 17th May and cross the Gujarat coast a day later.
4 major areas of Rajasthan will be strongly impacted. Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota and Ajmer will witness strong winds at 40 to 50 kmph. Heavy rains have also been predicted. Thunderstorms will be experienced in Bikaner as well. There may be light to heavy rains and public must stay careful.
Teams of NDRF have also been asked to stay on the alert in case of emergencies. It is advisable that people stay indoors at the very start of the storm as strong winds can be quite dangerous.
