Udaipur, December 19,2024 - The School Education Department has set a deadline of December 23 for recently promoted teachers to join their new positions. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their promotion, according to an order issued by Sita Ram Jat, Director of Elementary Education.

A total of 10,515 teachers were promoted, but around 3,000 of them are eligible for multiple positions due to their qualifications and experience. This has raised concerns among teachers, especially regarding the handling of multiple postings. The Rajasthan Primary and Secondary Teachers Association has sought clarity on the issue and urged the department to provide clear guidelines.

In addition, the association has requested that teachers in subjects like Commerce, Home Science, Painting, and Music be directly promoted. They also suggested that senior teachers with multiple qualifications should be assigned to specific subjects rather than being left without postings.

The teachers have further requested that a list be prepared for vacant posts so they can be filled promptly, ensuring enough teachers are available for classroom instruction. They also proposed that if a teacher declines a promotion, the decision should be based on the subject rather than the post.
