Representatives of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Teachers Association demanded to convert all residential teachers’ training to non-residential camps due to the incessant problems faced by female teachers in government schools who cannot attend full day camps, particularly those who have small kids to take care of.
The teachers presented their demands to the District Collector Hemant Gera and requested him to look upon the matter.
The Government is conducting training camps under the CCE (Lehar) for teachers. The association has demanded to make these camps non-residential and have also asked to make the timings of the camp from 8am to 2pm. The association asked to give flexibility to teachers to change their block and camps should be held within the city.
“Teachers will continue to boycott these camps, if our demands are not fulfilled”, as said in the letter.
