Nov 12, 2025 – The second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections for a new government concluded on Tuesday, November 11, with the State recording the voter turnout at 68.67%. The overall voter turnout recorded was at 66.91% which is a historic highest-ever percentage in the State since 1951, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

As soon as voting ended, the media was abuzz with results of the exit poll. As per the exit polls figure, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) may be heading toward a clear majority in Bihar.

The average data released predict that of the 243 Assembly seats, the NDA may win between 146-150 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) is expected to be limited to around 90 seats. The BJP is projected to secure the highest number of seats at 74, while the Congress may get 12 seats.

Here’s what some of the pollsters predict:

  • India TV-Matrize: NDA 147-167 seats, MGB 70-90 seats, Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) 0-2 seats.
  • People’s Insight: NDA 133-148, MGB 87-102, JSP 0-2.
  • Peoples Pulse: - NDA 133-159, MGB 75-101, JSP 0-5.
  • JVC Poll: NDA 135-150, MGB 88-103, JSP 0-1.
  • P-Marq: NDA 142-162, MGB 80-98, JSP 1-4.
  • ABP: NDA 184-209, MGB 32-49, JSP 1-5.
  • DVC Research: NDA 137-152, MGB 83-98, JSP 2-4.
  • Dainik Bhaskar: NDA 145-160, MGB 73-91, JSP 0-3.
  • Chanakya Strategies: NDA 130–138, MGB 100–108, nil to JSP.

However, readers should note that exit poll figures may differ from the actual results. In the past the ECI has cautioned against depending too much on these data which may raise expectations that may differ from the actual result.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has dismissed the exit poll results saying, “Exit polls were wrong even in 2020. The real exit poll will come on November 14, when the people’s verdict is revealed.”

On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “The actual results will be even better than the exit polls.”

Final results will be announced on November 14 when counting begins at 8:00 am under heavy security across all 38 districts.
