A temple in Debari area was robbed at late night on Monday on knifepoint. 3 men robbed Debari ka Ghata vali Mata temple late night around 1 a.m. They held the security guards at knifepoint and escaped with cash and silver-chatra (umbrella).

Security guards Hari Singh and Daulat Singh were sound asleep late Monday night when they heard the sound of temple gates being opened. They saw 3 men entering the temple. These men had knives in their hands. One of these 3 men threatened the security guards with knife and pushed them into a corner. The other 2 broke the lock of temple door. Then they took away all the cash and silver umbrella from the temple and escaped into darkness.

The temple’s cash box was full of money which people offered during navratri. The moment these robbers left the temple area, the security guards shouted out to the people and informed them of the incident. Some people even tried to follow these robbers but the robbers disappeared. The incident has been reported to Pratapnagar police who are now investigating the matter.
