On May 31, 2024 on late on Friday night, a thief stole a tempo parked outside a office on Swaroop Sagar Road, Udaipur. The next morning around 10:00 am, the proprietor of Cafe Mansi, who is owner of the tempo became aware of the theft. The tempo, with the registration plate RJ27 GB 9502, is listed under the ownership of Cafe Mansi.

The theft incident was captured by the CCTV cameras placed outside the office. The proprietor of Cafe Mansi informed Udaipur Times that on May 31, at 5:30PM, a vehicle had been parked outside their office. However, upon reaching office the following morning around 10:00, he ound the vehicle missing.  After examining the CCTV footage in the office, it was found that at 12:50AM on June 1, an unknown person was observed taking the vehicle. The face of the person was not distinctly visible on the camera.

An FIR was filed at Hathi Pol police station. The owner mentioned that they had conducted a personal search for two days but had not discovered any leads.
