Central Government has sanctioned Rs.55 lacs for maintenance work of various government hostels across Udaipur. The PWD (Public Works Department) is to announce tenders for these maintenance works.

The nursing and medical students had recently protested against sanitation and other such problems.

Ashok Sharma, Executive Engineer, PWD, informed, “Department had filed application to central government for the maintenance work. The application had been approved and a required budget of Rs.55 lacs will be transferred to local office.”

Sharma added that the maintenance work will include repairing windows & rooms, solving sanitation problem and coloring walls. Tenders for the work will be announced soon. The budget is for all hostels including RNT Medical both for boys and girls.
