A temporary situation of tension occurred between two specific communities on Sunday evening at Khanjipeer, resulting in mild stone pelting which was later controlled by the Police. People of both communities have been charged; however none was reportedly arrested or detained for the same.

According to Police sources, a group belongs to Bohra community were cleaning DawoodBagh/ Indra Nagar, an alleged controversial land near Khanjipheer Dargah to make a helipad, as the spiritual leader of the community Dr. Mohammad Burhanuddin is expected to arrive at Udaipur from Galiakot.

While cleaning the ground, people of other community residing nearby area gathered and blamed the Bohra community ofallegedly attempting to demolish the Shiv temple situated on the ground, while Bohras upfront refused the allegation.

Heavy police force was deployed in the area till late evening; all circle in-charge, deputy police officers and Additional Superintendent of Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
