Section 144 and Night Curfew Imposed in Border areas of Rajasthan due to TERROR ALERT

Amid warnings of terrorist activity, Rajasthan government issued a number of restrictions in the border areas.

The above development has come after Madhya Pradesh government sounded an alert following the arrest of 2 terrorists of an Al-Qaeda-supported outfit on the outskirts of Lucknow.

Restrictions have been imposed in Sriganganagar, Karanpur, Raisingh Nagar, Anupgarh and Gharsana blocks till 11th September.

The government of Rajasthan has imposed various restrictions in areas close to the border amid warnings of potential terrorist and anti-national activity.

The above development has come after Madhya Pradesh government sounded an alert following the arrest of 2 terrorists of an Al-Qaeda-supported outfit on the outskirts of Lucknow. Public movement, bursting of crackers, playing of musical bands, etc, have been prohibited in the night in the areas which are close to the border.

Restrictions have been imposed in Sriganganagar, Karanpur, Raisingh Nagar, Anupgarh and Gharsana blocks till 11th September. Section 144 and nigh curfew have been strictly imposed.

DM of SriGanganagar said that he received information about some anti-national elements and infiltrators from across the border planning anti-national activities in the bordering areas close to Rajasthan border.

Two terrorists of the Al-Qaeda-supported Ansar Ghazwatul Hind were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh ATS from the outskirts of Lucknow on Sunday, senior official earlier said, adding that they were planning explosions, including using "human bombs", at several places in UP. A huge amount of explosives was also seized from their houses. They were planning to "unleash terror activities before August 15 (Independence Day) in different cities of UP", including Lucknow, the official had said.
