TATA’s Nano was one of the top breaking news when launched. Because of its low price tag, petite shape and a big brand name TATA attached with it. Once again TATA is gearing up by introducing its
nano in a rare appearance. A gold and diamond studded nano, first
pure gold jewelry car in India.
In a tribute to 5000 year of Indian Jewelry, Tata Nano is coming up loaded with high quality jewels by Goldplus-Tata’s Jewelry division. This exclusive edition is indeed not for sale and after selecting 13 best designs from all over the country, only 3 final designs made their way namely nano1, nano2 and nano3. Now three of these finely ornamented nano are waiting for your votes, the voting will close on 22nd December 2010 All the three designs are standing equally in showcasing their majestic craft and serenity. Though technicalities of jewelry is like a Hebrew for me but being an art passionate, here I am reviewing
the three marvels of Tata Goldplus Nano 1
Goldplus Nano 1 is a golden sensation in itself. The designer chose “gold” as a common color with flowers deliberately harmonized with the background golden gloom.
Front- part of this shows an extraordinary work of art and beauty, a finely carved and bejeweled peacock spreading its extended feathers in proud, with all expensive pearls and stones embedded.
Rear- side of nano1 is crafted with a multicolor precious stone carved in a flower which is beautifying the centre of it and few imprinted lines with assorted designs makes that flower feel like a princess.
Sides- or gateway to this show sparkler is made with a symbol of rising sun like art, pink and white color to give it a distinction which is not looking dire at all.
Top- view has something special too. A big logo of Titan’s eclipses this golden darling inside a complete, shining sun crafted with a great art of perfection.

Goldplus Nano 2
If you have knowledge of
Meenakari and
Kundan jewelry then see this, it looks like a goddess dressed in white with embroidery of heavy jewelries, looks fabulous finest art on it symbolizes wealth and happiness. The designers of this car named it Aakar.
Front- Only selected part of the front area is used for design. The leaf shaped head lights are engraved with two different illustrations, followed by stunning small blue colored leaves decorating the complete shape. The center of attraction is an example of
theva work, which is gold infused on glass, is done on Windshield, resembles the crown of the Goddess.
Rear- Lotus has been used as a theme of Aakar or nano2 and it reflects beautifully on its rear. By using shining red, green and white pearls and pebbles the series of lotuses looks opulent.
Sides- This is the area I loved most. Lots of small detailing and value is given to the entrance of this car. Inspired by the Hindu beliefs of decorating houses in any festival, every part of the entrance looks splendid, sizzling pieces of gold has been placed far from each other.
Top- This area is left plain but not untouched, the green work of
theva makes the car complete.
……….
Goldplus Nano3
Goldplus Nano 3 is the finest thing for any art admirer to see. A great art combo been used on an automobile. The work of
nakkashi and
meenakari has been used to make this a car of wonder land.
Front- Three beautiful rivers carved nicely on a
jhali technique of jewelry designing, while the national anthem’s few lines clearly shining in blue. Not only front but every part of nano3 is covered with its overflowing design.
Rear- Nano3 is depicting the rich Indian legacy and history on its each and every segment. The rear side of it is gorgeously symbolizing our national bird peacock with
kundan work in a diverse blue, white and golden design decorated with a gold netted border.
Sides- It’s again showcasing the flow of silverish sparkling rivers where small golden bells are crafted to beautify its borders in bottom while the rhythmic
jan-gan-mann makes the top border proud.
Top- This area is continuing the art of jhali and a wave impressively exhibiting the nation so diverse but still unified in its thousands of year old culture.

So what do you think? which one of these beauties will win? My take is on nano1. Vote for your favorite Goldplus Nano at
