Theft in Ambamata-Valuables worth lakhs stolen

An incident of theft took place in Ambamata barely 100 metres away from the police station. The residents were away and the house was locked since last 6 days.

The owner Dilip Mehta is away to Delhi and details can be made available only after his return. As informed by his neighbour Siddharth, there were valuables in the house which include cash and jewellery worth 4 lakh rupees. Siddharth informed police that the incident was discovered when some of the relatives reached Dilip’s house to meet him. They found that the house had been broken in. Neighbour Siddharth spoke to Dilip and took information about the valuables that have been taken away. Dilip Mehta is away to Delhi to be with his son and this is not the first time that a theft has taken place at his house. Police has inspected the site and is waiting for the owner Dilip Mehta to return from Delhi.
