Theft in Chitrakoot nagar-Gold and cash stolen

A house in Chitrakoot nagar was targetted by thieves on Tuesday in broad daylight. The house belongs to a retired professor. Retired professor Ashok Singh was away to the university with his wife on Tuesday afternoon. His son was also away somewhere. When they returned home in the evening at 5, they found that the lock of the main door was broken. They went to the son’s room to find the pet dog inside. Each room was ransacked and gold and cash were taken away. They were surprised that their son’s room was safe. Probably the thieves got scared of the dog and left him inside the room. The surprising point is that the dog actually attacks any stranger but it did not attack these thieves. There are all the possibilities that it was drugged and then shooed into the room as there was a big lathi found outside. Even the neighbours did not hear the dog barking.  Police is investigating the case.
