Gulab Bagh Zoo is going through an adversity, as the zoo has witnessed death of its tigress. The tigress ‘Radha’ died today at 11 am in her cage. Zoo authority considers it a natural death, out of old age.

Radha was the only tigress left in the zoo; she was brought to Gulab Bagh from Kota Zoo on 11^th July 2000. The zoo officials and caretaker of the tigress are extremely depressed with the loss of Radha.

According to Kesar Singh (ACF), the tigress was ill since sometime and succumbed to her deteriorating health. “Old age and deteriorating health is the reason of death”, says Zoo administration.

From last few days, Gulab Bagh Zoo is under controversy following the suspicious disappearance of ducklings and love birds in two different incidences. However, the death of tigress is considered divine.
