Tourists Face Odor Issues at Gulab Bagh Due to Sewage Water Leakage

Gulab BAGH

In a recent incident at Gulab Bagh, tourists are encountering foul odor due to the presence of sewage water flowing alongside Pichola Lake water near the gate in front of Bagh, adjacent to the toy train track. The constant influx of tourists at the toy train station throughout the day exacerbates the issue, with sewage water from nearby drains also contributing to the unpleasant smell.

The flow of water from Pichola Lake to Bagh through the drainage system, up to Kamal Talai, usually occurs as the lake's water level rises. However, recent leaks in the sewer line during the Smart City project have resulted in dirty water reaching Bagh, causing inconvenience to tourists.

Additionally, the boating facility planned for the other Kamal Talai has yet to commence. Initially scheduled to be launched by the toy train contractor, delays persist as the Municipal Corporation has not completed maintenance work on the Kamal Talai. Consequently, the contractor has not been able to initiate boating operations.
