A police constable was attacked by a trailer driver at Sevashram crossing. The incident took place on Tuesday at 10 p.m.

As per reports, a trailer driver was making an entry into the no-entry zone. The trailer was heavily loaded and was coming from Pratapnagar side. Being a no-entry zone, the constables signalled the driver to stop, but the driver did not pay heed to them. One of the constables ran ahead and stood in front of the trailer after which the driver stopped. The trailer driver was all by himself in the trailer. When the constable asked for the necessary documents, the driver pulled out an iron tool from the trailer and attacked the constable.

The police constable succumbed to minor injury on the chest. The trailer driver has been arrested.
