By mid 2022, there are all the possibilities that travelling time between Jaipur and Delhi by road will be cut down by almost half. Currently the time consumed by road between these 2 destinations is almost  5 ½ hours. Wouldn’t it be great if this travel time reduces to 2 to 3 hours?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made this announcement after his recent visit to Rajasthan to review the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway. Once this expressway is made, the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai will be reduced immensely. The current road travel time between the 2 cities is 26 hours and this would be cut down to 12 hours once the expressway work is done. Gadkari also said that electric vehicles will run on the e-highway saving money and checking pollution.

A 374-km road is to be constructed in Rajasthan for the expressway which will strengthen the development in the districts of Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi and Kota. This would also result in the socio-economic development of farmers, tribals and youngsters.

The Union Minster also said that the part of the expressway originating from Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve and Ranthambhore will be made like an elevated corridor so that the animals living in these sanctuaries do not face any kind of problem. There are all the probabilities that traffic rules will be changed for the expressway and maximum speed of 100kmph will be allowed as the road will be free of public and animals walking around.
