Tribal Development issues and solutions raised on concluding day of Seminar
The two day seminar on Tribal Development concluded at the Pacific University in Udaipur today, on 2nd June 2012.
The seminar, organized by the Pacific Institute of Tribal Development witnessed 104 papers being presented across two technical sessions, where Dr. P.K. Vaid and Dr. Ajay Kumar Chowdhary gave the key note addresses in the final session.

Dr. Nandkumar Savant and Priti Goswami of Goa won the best paper awards. Nine consolations prizes were also given.
Dr. B.P. Sharma, the Pro-President f PAHER presided over the closing ceremony, wherein he expressed his concern over the situation prevalent among the tribal belts of the country. He voiced his concerns saying that even today the tribal belts are devoid of basic infrastructural benefits.
He also said that an inclusive arrangement needs to be inculcated by the government, and even individuals need to participate in such initiatives. Many an initiative need to be taken in areas of education, health and employment for natives of such belts, he commented.
The Registrar of PAHER, Sharad Kothari, said that participants from various parts of the country and abroad took to brainstorming about various issues related to residents of tribal areas.
