Manikya Lal Verma Tribal Research and Training Institute conducted Hostel Superintendent Training program in association with the Department of Tribal Area Development.

The two day training camp was attended by 52 hostel superintendents from Udaipur, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Jaipur, Jhalawad, Kota, Pali, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Karoli, Pratapgarh and Sirohi. In his welcome address, Ashok Yadav, Director TRI informed that more than 20 thousands boys and girls are getting benefits from 250 hostels maintained by Department of Tribal Development.

T.C Damor, Vice Chancellor of Tribal University asked all hostel wardens and superintendents to be sensitive while taking care of hostel and the students. The present superintendents were given knowledge and information about various things including health, and hygiene of students, finding dexterous students who are exceptionally good in any form of art or sports etc.

Training Session head Laxmi Nanama said, “Warden should be devoted to his work and such training sessions teach the correct way of doing the duty. Learning is a continuous process, so every warden should give 100 percent in learning and increase their own caliber.”

Child Psychologist Dr. Ajay Choudhary also shared his knowledge with the wardens regarding the behavior of children in certain age and how to counsel them in any problem.
