Trump at US Open Final; Media Told Not to Air Negative Crowd Reactions
This will be the first US Open appearance by Trump since 2015; final match to be played between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz at the Arthur Ashe Stadium
Sept 7, 2025 - US President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Men’s Final of the US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York today, September 7. Interestingly, US Open broadcasters have been told not to telecast any disruptions or other negative reactions from the spectators to Trump but instead focus on the action on court.
President Trump will be attending the final match to be played between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, their third successive Grand Slam final match.
An email was sent to the broadcasters by the organisers of the US Open says, “We ask all broadcasters to refrain from showing any disruptions or reactions in response to the president’s attendance in any capacity.”
The US President will be shown on the big screen at the stadium during the national anthems before the start of the match. He will be attending the US Open after 10 years and will watch the match from the Rolex suite. His last visit was in 2015.
