Udaipur, March 6, 2025: US President Donald Trump has warned Hamas to release all Israeli hostages held in Gaza. He called it a “last warning” and said there would be “hell to pay” if the captives were not freed. Trump also told Hamas leaders to leave Gaza immediately.

For the first time since 1997, the US government has confirmed it is talking directly with Hamas. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the discussions aim to secure the release of hostages and end the war in Gaza. Israel has stated that 59 hostages are still in Gaza, with up to 24 believed to be alive. Some US citizens are also among them.

Palestinians Face Food Shortages

People in Gaza are struggling with hunger due to Israel’s blockade. The World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that its food supplies could run out in less than two weeks. Prices of essential items are also very high.

Death Toll Continues to Rise

Gaza’s Health Ministry has reported 48,440 Palestinian deaths, while the Government Media Office says the number could be at least 61,709, as many bodies remain under the rubble. More than 111,845 people have been wounded. On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel killed 1,139 people, and over 200 were taken hostage.
