Trump’s Hardline Approach to Immigration Upheld by Supreme Court Illegal Haitians and Syrians Stare at Deportation

Udaipur, June 26, 2026 | International News: The Temporary Protected Status of more than 6 thousand Syrians and nearly four lakh Haitian illegal immigrants was revoked after the US Supreme Court permitted the US Administration to strip them off this protection from deportation. The bench ruled 6-3 against the federal court order that had halted this action.

The ruling, authored by Justice Samuel Alito said that courts cannot review administrative decisions on TPS, as it could set precedents and legal challenges going forward on revocation of this status for any country. It added that the law governing TPS clearly disallows judicial review.

The judges in dissent, however said that this decision of the administration was clearly influenced by race, quoting several statements of Donald Trump relating the Haitian immigrants to filth, disease and primitiveness for the US.
